Why I Started The Grooming Studio Co.

Hello there friend! So I’m just going to warn you ahead of time my stories can veer off track a wee bit. I try really hard to focus, but… squirrels.

I grew up around horses, actually I showed horses for like I don’t know 10 years or something. I had a blast, learned a lot, was asked to try out for the Olympic training team (truth!), but I had so much fun show prepping the horses. And, we had dogs all the time and it got expensive sending them to be groomed, so I taught myself how to do it.

Fast forward to my 40’s – my two oldest were preteens/teens and didn’t need their mommy as much and I was trying to find my “thing” so I started my sourdough/chicken/ducks/homesteader era. And, so I discovered soap making. I fell hard for it, and before I knew it, I was selling it under a real business.

There is so much that went on in ten years – to try and cram it in one blog post would not do it justice. I will say it had a lot of really high points in my life, and some seriously traumatizing ones. But, I am here, standing strong with my loving family and a zest for business, and soap and animals, wanting to create a life worth living for my family. With my family. For my family.

The “Studio” is going to be my place to talk about whatever is on my heart – maybe I’ll pass along helpful skincare info, or pet health, or yes, maybe even some BTS life stuff. I hope you’ll join me!
